Are there currently any plans to add features such as sub-categories or user uploads in the gallery plugin?

I know others have wanted these features years ago and was just wondering if anyone is planning on adding these features in the future.

If there are no current plans to update the existing gallery, does anyone know if someone is planning on updating or creating any any plugins that will allow users of coppermine or other gallery programs to be used without "users" having to log into separate programs.

hi, you can use alt_auth plugin to share Coppermine or Piwigo users with e107.

Core Gallery plugin is just a way how to display some images, nothing more.  For this, you need a new plugin. There is some updated plugin in the e107Inc repository, YTM Gallery or something like that.

Hi Jimako,

Thanks for the response. I checked out several sites with YTM gallery and they all seem to be running video's instead of still shots.

I also checked the repository and every image add on seems to be for version 1.

Then I checkd the Gallery site and found out they released a version 3 and are still working on new additions.

I even read one post from a user that claimed to have 50, 000 images on one site with sub-albums, so since they are back up and running on updates at gallery, would it be that hard for some developer to incorporate a newer version into e107?
